I am preparing for cosmetic acupuncture. What should I expect?
Your experience with cosmetic acupuncture begins with a 15 minute phone consultation with Maria or Shelbi. In this call we discuss the treatment protocol in detail. In addition to face points cosmetic acupuncture treatments also includes body points that aid in overall wellness. Within your first two visits we will assess if there are other constitutional considerations that will improve your results, such as dietary changes, supplements or herbs.
If you are healing from a surgery, have another chronic health issue, or are nursing, it will be more beneficial to do cosmetic acupuncture at a later date.
How many treatments will I need for cosmetic acupuncture?
Cosmetic Acupuncture is a specialty treatment that is done as a series. Ten 75-minute treatments (two sessions per week for five weeks) are recommended to see the maximum benefit of this treatment.
If you need to go a little longer between one or two visits, that can be accommodated, but if it seems like too much of a commitment at this time, try to find another season where it works for you to do the recommended treatment. We want to make sure you get the most out of your cosmetic acupuncture treatments and see results.
